Square Sized Tiles
Square tiles are the most common shape. The most popular sizes are large and begin in the 12”x 12” range, but smaller sizes are available. However, square tiles are very useful in the 24” x 24” range (and even larger). Square sized tiles are easy to work with, and are great for smaller spaces since they make rooms look bigger. Plank Tile Sizes
The larger “plank” tiles begin in the 6”x24” range, yet come in sizes 8”x42” and larger. Plank tiles can add more texture to a room, especially if you go with wood-look tiles that replicate traditional hardwood planks. With the advent of new printing technologies, you can even get tiles that look like stone and other natural materials. For example, marble plank tiles are perfect for kitchens, especially if you are on a budget. Also, larger plank sizes also work well in outdoor areas.
